Everyone loves the tree - and of course - it is where all the gifts go! But why do you have the Christmas tree?
Before we get into that I'll tell you what the tree is meant to symbolise.
The Christmas tree was meant to be a sign to others (in need) that you were willing to give food to them. That you would sacrifice your own pleasures to help those who had less (or none).
People displayed this tree with fruit on it to the world and whoever came knocking would get blessed with food.
Nothing to do with useless gifts or feeling pressured to give to family / friends / children.
The story started in Europe around a time of great need and poverty.
A man, a dream and a loving God.

We would love to hear from you with any arguments, objections or questions about the above…
